  • Custom Packages: Everyone’s needs are different, which is why we will conduct a site survey and tailor a package to suit your needs. This ensures you get the best possible solution for your site and your budget.
  • Reliable Hardware: Reliable hardware is critical to a successful solution. We have tried most of the Internet Access Controller (IAC) systems on the market but settled on the NetComm range of products for their overall reliability, product features/flexibility and the fact that they are also based in Australia with a fantastic sales/support team.
  • Simple for the Staff, Simple for the Guests: With NetComm’s zero-config hardware we employ, it has never been easier for a site to provide a simple to use Internet service for their guests. They just plug the cable into their laptops, power up and try to access any web page. They will be presented with a completely customisable Welcome Page with a selection of service plans offered by the site. If they choose a plan and accept the charges, they will be directed either to the page they desire or redirected to a page set by the site (i.e. the site’s homepage).
    No Usernames or passwords – just accept the charges and/or Terms and conditions and away they go. It doesn’t matter if it is 3AM; if the guest wants to get connected, they can – no need to wait for reception to open for login details, the guests can give the site revenue anytime!
  • You Own Everything! No Revenue Sharing: This is the main point that separates us from many of the other solution providers – the site purchases the solution – we don’t do revenue sharing! Why not? Well:
    • We believe the revenue generated should be a revenue stream wholly for the site; after all, it is their guests, their premises and their idea to install this guest service. Why should they share the revenue?
    • The site can be more competitive in their pricing for this service. If they share the revenue, what happens when the market dictates a change in pricing for the solution? Sites that do revenue sharing may not have the flexibility to remain competitive and would have to charge whatever price the installer sets (or drop their own share of the revenue).
    • We don’t lock the site in with a contract like the other providers. Revenue-sharing solution providers usually lock a site in with a 3-5 year contract to ensure they continue to get paid.
    • The infrastructure we install is owned by the site AND is future-proofed for many years. This means that the equipment installed can handle greater speeds as they become available from the ISP’s. Also, the hardware can handle sharing some of the ample bandwidth provided to deliver new guest services as they become available (such as IPTV). If the site doesn’t own the infrastructure they may find that their revenue-sharing partners won’t allow their equipment to be shared with the new services.

    Some managers believe that the only way they can afford to install this service is to have it funded by the installer and pay them a share of the revenue collected. No, or little expense to them, and they get a new service to offer their guests. What they may not realise is that this is a proven revenue stream that most banks and financing companies happily lend against and the revenue generated can normally cover the (100% tax deductible) monthly repayments within a week or two. Remember: Revenue sharing only works because there is revenue to be collected – why give it away!

  • Collecting the Revenue: The revenue collection is a vital part of any solution – it’s always nice to get paid! This is where our custom written Net Retriever software comes in. It makes revenue collection easier than ever! The best part is: site staff do not need to learn anything new; they check their guest in using the Property Management System (PMS) as they always have and when the guest leaves they print their outstanding charges as per normal. There with the accommodation, phone and other guest service charges is a new line for the guest Internet charges. As simple as that… This is a real time saver when the reception desk is 5 deep with guests trying to check out.
    For those sites that do not have a PMS, we can provide a standalone reporting utility that they can print out reports from if necessary.
  • Support: With a Broadband Available solution, staff are free to remain focussed on the job they were employed to do, not become IT support staff for every guest.
    Although we make every effort to provide user-friendly solutions for staff and guests, it is not a perfect world and no one can avoid the occasional problem. In order to handle the most common problems we provide compendium guides for the rooms and the Internet Access Controller is “Zero-Config” – meaning most laptops won’t have a problem connecting. However, there is that handful of users that will have a problem (i.e.: an overprotective firewall, a disabled network card or some other obscure issue) and therefore we provide the Broadband Available Helpdesk.
